Holly leaves are usually associated to Christmas, but this tree's symbolism has roots in much more ancient times.
In folklore, it is known for its protective power. The Druids celebrated holly as a symbol of fertility and eternal life, and they thought it has magical powers. It is highly sacred in Celtic mythology and symbolises peace and goodwill, and hope for continued life.
It's especially connected with Winter because its berries ripe in this season.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The shape of each piece and the shades created by the flame on silver are slightly irregular since their handmade nature.

Thee leaf earrings are handmade by me with the metal smithing technique, working the metal by hand.
